I am a student of language. I started studying language seriously when I learned Italian in high school. I continued studying language at Stanford by taking Hungarian and learning about psychology, statistics and computer science. I now study language as a data scientist at Facebook and build tools to understand how language is used in the context of a social network.
Electronic music has been a passion since discovering The Prodigy and Underworld in 1996. I spin and produce House music when I have free time.
Some people I admire are Lucretius, Teddy Roosevelt, Hunter S. Thompson, R. Crumb, Stevie Smith, Mike Judge, Vladimir Nobikov, Philip Larkin, and Ed Ricketts.
I (used to) work in Michael Ramscar's lab. In the lab we study how adults and children approach probabilities, and how these different approaches might affect language acquisition and creolization.
